Heavy rain floods in Shirva Belle Innaje areas

Shirva, 27 August 2012: Continuous downpour of rain since Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon has submerged the low lying areas of Shirva Attinja, Kuthyaru areas. The district has been receiving rainfall during the past week and with the heavy rains lashing since Saturday again, has disrupted the normal life of people.

 

 

Padubelle Papanashini river-side field areas filled with flood water, hence Padubelle – Moodubelle road travel has been impossible. Murkodi river flowing through Innanje Kaup areas has overflown and flooded, making travel through Innanje – Kaup impossible. The water level on the road is rising as the rain is still pouring.
