M’lore: Trainee doctor’s treatment takes one life

Mangalore, 24 Aug 2012: Anitha (35), resident of Bengre, Thanirbhavi, was admitted and died at Ullal Nursing Home, Kudroli due to the Doctor’s negligence on Aug 24, Friday.

 

Reportedly, Anitha who fainted near Gokarnatheshwara College on her way to was admitted to the hospital by a school teacher from nearby. Teacher also informed her family and colleagues.

 

Anitha who was conscious while admitting to hospital was treated by trainee doctor Bhagyalaxmi, in the absence of doctors.After ten minute of the treatment, they closed the door of the room and said that Anitha died of cardiac arrest.

 

 

Deceased Anitha is SI Sudhakar’s sister and was working in Veenu Aluminium Pvt Ltd, Managudda.

 

Speaking to the media, Beena, administration head of Veenu Aluminium Pvt Ltd said that trainee doctor gave an injection to Anitha and she died of insufficient treatment.

 

Barke police arrived at the hospital for investigation. The office staff filed a complaint against the hospital.
