Anniversary of Kundapur Zone Women’s Organization celebrated

Kundapur,16 August 2012: The anniversary of Catholic Women’s Organization of the Kundapur Zone was celebrated on August 12, 2012 in St. mary’s Junior College. The newly arrived Dean of the Kundapur Zone, Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza was honoured by offering him a bouquet of flowers. He presided over the function and wished well to the Women’s Organization.

 

The programme began with the prayer song. Mrs. Cynthia D’Souza, President of the Women’s Organization, Kundapur Zone welcomed the guests. Mrs. Blanchi D’Souza read the report of the organization. Rev. Fr. Elias D’Souza, the Spiritual Director of the organization who has been transferred was honoured during this occasion. The new Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr.  Vishal Lobo was felicitated with a bouquet of flowers.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Pravin Martis, Principal of St. Mary’s Junior College, District president of Women’s Organization aand  Mrs. Leena Roche gave their messages. Mrs. Vinaya D’Costa, Treasurer of the organization presented the accounts and also proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Leen Tauro compeered the programme.

 

The cultural programme was presented by the units of the Women’s Organization from different parishes of the Zone.  Dances and skits were  presented  by the representatives from Sasthan, Baindoor, Padukone, Kundapur and Gangolli parishes. Women from Kundapur parish presented a play revolving around the problems faced by women in families and society writeen and directed by Bernard J. D’Costa titled “ Katrinth Shirakallo Batthi”.
