BJP men among 7 arrested for indulging in prostitution

Mangalore, 07 Aug 2012: The Pandeshwar Police, on August 6, Monday raided an apartment at Subhashnagar in Mangalore and arrested a total of seven persons including four women for allegedly indulging in prostitution.

 

 

Almost three of the arrested including a woman were said to be BJP workers. The woman, it is said was a local BJP leader.

 

Two of those arrested are Sandeep Shetty and Doraiah. Of them Sandeep hails from Belthangady and is a BJP leader there. Reports also reveal two of the arrested including a BJP leader have not been booked.

 

It has been learnt the raid followed a tip off from Hindu outfits and some complaints by locals.

 

Investigations are in progress.
