Valadoor’s ‘Kesard Onji Dina’ Vanamahotsava

Shirva, 21 July 2012: In between the busy rice plantation field work, a traditional festival to mark the worshiping of the mother earth ‘Kesard Onji Dina’ program and Vanamahotsava was organized by ‘Valadoor Welfare Association’ near Shirva for the people living in the surrounding areas.

 

 

The program was initiated by lighting the lamp by Valadoorguttu Raghava Shetty. Prasad Shetty and Treasurer Sukesh Shetty initiated the Vanamahotsava by planting the saplings. Then plant saplings were planted in the vacant areas.

 

Various sports and games competitions were held in mud field even though the rain was pouring. Vasantha Poojary participated as the judge in the competitions. Sukesh Compakar, Mahesh S., Vinit Castelino, Raghu Compakar, Rati Shetty, Raghavendra Kunder, Ratna Shetty, Savita, Yashoda Shetty, Asha Shetty, Naveen and Prathvi Bhandary were present on the occasion.
