Mangalore, 04 Jul 2012: The Belthangaday JMFC court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to Vittala Malekudiya, who has been in judicial custody for nearly four months for his alleged support to Naxals.

Advocate Shivakumar told TOI that Vittala, a PG student in journalism at Mangalore University, will have to visit the police station on all Sundays till a chargesheet is filed against him.

"The court has asked Vittala to submit a bond of Rs 50,000. He has been directed not to tamper with the prosecution’s witness and also has been asked to co-operate with the investigating agency," Shivakumar said. The high court on June 20 had disposed of the bail petition filed by Vittala.
