Kollur: JDS party workers celebrate birthday of Anita Kumaraswamy

Kollur, 26 February 2012: On the occasion of the birthday celebration of JDS MLA Anita Kumaraswamy, Chandika Homa was conducted in Kollur Mookambika Temple on Friday. JDS State President H.D. Kumaraswamy along with wife Anita Kumaraswamy and son Nikil Gowda had arrived to Kollur on Thursday evening. They participated in the utsav at night and at 9.30 had Devi darshana and stayed overnight. On Saturday morning in the presence of Devi the husband – wife conducted Chandika Homa. Later at 11.00 am performed poornahuti.

 

 

 
In the afternoon at 3.00 pm the party workers celebrated their leader Anita Kumaraswamy in Udupi District JDS office. Anita cut the cake, H.D. Kumaraswamy who was next to her fed the first piece of cake and wished her. Later as per the request of the party workers they both exchanged the garlands.
 
Speaking on the occasion Anita said that, she does not like to celebrate birthday in this way. Since her husband said 15 days back for conducting the Chandika Homa, we have done that. I prayed to Devi to give strength to JDS state President Kumaraswamy to give good administration to him, she said.
 
At this time both Anita – Kumaraswamy were felicitated. JDS Udupi District President Deviprasad Shetty, Women President Shalini Shetty Kenchanur, Chickmagalur district President Boje Gowda, State Leaders Abdul Aziz, Mahendra Kumar, Mohamed Kunny and others were present.
