Pulse Polio drops administered in Pernankila, Moodubelle

Moodubelle, 21 February 2012: The first phase of Pulse Polio-2012 was conducted at Primary Health Center Pernankila and in its Sub Centers at Kattingeri and Moodubelle, as a part of nationwide campaign against Polio disease. Booths were held at Moodubelle panchayat, Gandhinagar Anganwadi, Edmeru Anganwadi, Kattingeri Subcenter, Peranankila Primary Health Center, Kudi-Kodibettu Anganwadi, Kajarguttu and Onthibettu Anganwadis, from 8AM to 5PM. All children under the age of 5 Years are given two drops of polio vaccine.

 

 

 

In Pernankila Health center, booth was inaugurated by Kodibettu Village President Mr. Lakshminaran Prabhu. Medical officer Dr.
Krishnaprasad, Pharmacist Mr. Ramesh Nayak, T N Sujatha, Jyothkiran, Pratima , Rajivi were present. In Belle, Mrs. Ida Gibba DSouza, Z P Member, inaugurated the booth. Sumathi, Sunitha , Sujatha , Shobha conducted administration in the booth.

 

On the first day 810 children were immunized, achieving a target of 98%. Pulse polio activities were held during the next 2 days with health workers visiting all houses to ensure vaccination of each and every child.
