Shirva: Annual Sports Day in M.S.R.S. College

Shirva, 17 December 2011: 31st annual sports day was conducted in Mulki Sundar Ram Shetty College on 16th December 2011. Inaugurating the sports day local BJP leader and President of College Old Students Association Kuthyar Naveen Shetty said that, the sports activities like these which are part of the physical education helps in the blossoming of the students mind and body.

 

 

Speaking further he said that, India is emerging as a strong force in the sports field of the world today. The sports persons have lot of opportunities and he called upon the students make good use of this opportunities. The program was presided over by College Principal Dr.Sudhakara Marla, who welcomed the guests and the gathering.

College Sports Secretary conducted sports oath to the participants.College Student leader Jairaj proposed vote of thanks. English Lecturer Suprita Shetty compeered the program. Prior to the program the students conducted attractive march past.

 

 

 Shirva: Lecture on Siri Alade in M.S.R.S. College

 
Shirva, 17 December 2011: Lecture program on Siri Alade was conducted in Shirva M.S.R.S. College. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest of the program popular columnist Dr. S.R. Arunkumar briefed on the Tulu Alade and said that, among the Alades there are two kind, which are Panchadaiva Alade and Siri Alade. He said that, he has identified about 70 Alades in Udupi and D.K. Districts and the origin of the Alade is the Tulu Culture and in fact the Tulu culture is based on the Alades, he said.

 


 
Later in the interaction debate, answering to the questions of the students, he explained the importance of preserving these Alades. Colege Principal Dr. Sudhakara Malra presided over the program, who in his introductory note welcomed the guests.

 

Shirva: Chintana – Mantana program in M.S.R.S. College


 
Shirva, 17 December 2011: National Chintana – Mantana program was conducted in Shirva M.S.R.S. College. Popular columnist Soolibele Chakravarty was the chief guest, who said that, based on the principles of Swami Vivekananda a new Indian society has built. A team of youths who are ready for working towards building the nation without any selfishness are needed. It is not possible to change the country by one Anna Hazare. But by hundreds of youths who think of the country it is possible to change the country, he said.

 


 
The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Sudhakara Malra, who spoke on the occasion and welcomed the guests. Retired Kannada Lecturer Shridhara Murthy introduced Soolibele. College Student Leader Jairaj proposed vote of thanks.
