Udupi: Three accused arrested along with arms

Udupi, 12 December 2011: Three accused for plotting to murder D.K. District Congress Intak  President, former underground criminal Rakesh Malli, have been arrested by the Police and the arms American made 9 mm two pistols and 22 bullets have been taken into possession. One accused is absconding. The arrested are Udupi Gori Road resident Balakrishna Devadiga (42), Mangalore Kudroli resident Shriyas Kulal (22) and Maroli resident Dikshit Poojary (22). Another accused Anish is absconding.

 

 
These are the associates of Costal underground king Vishvanatha Koraga Shetty who is in Dubai. As per the instructions from Koraga Shetty they had plotted to kill Malli within a week, but with confirmed information DySP Jayanth V. Shetty and his special investigation team arrested them in Brandavana Hotel. The Swift Desire car and the mobile phones used by them has been taken into possession.
 
Balakrishna Devadiga is also accused on the charges of robbing lakhs of rupees worth gold jewellery from gold merchant from Koyamuttur in Udupi and the case of kidnapping and raping of minor. Shreyas is involved in a murder and a murder attempt case. Dikshit Poojary is required by the police for 2 murders in Mangalore and Surathkal, one murder attempt, assault and possession of illegal arms.
