Kaup, 25 November 2011: Gulam Mohammed who is chosen as the new Secretary of Udupi district JDS, took oath from former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in JDS Secular Conference held in Kaup on Sunday.
 
In the conference JDS National President former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda, Party State leaders Madhu Bangarappa, Y.S.V. Datta, Mahendra Kumar, Udupi District JDS President Deviprasad Shetty Belapu, Youth JDS President Vasudeva Rao and others were present.

Kaup, 25 November 2011: Students of Kaup Vidyaniketana Group of Education won many medals in the District level Karate competitions held in Udyavara Narayanaguru Sabhabhavana conducted by Kubudo Budokan.
