Katapadi: Responding to report, department supply fertilizer

Katpadi, 12 November 2011: As per the demands of the Mattugulla farmers who have been facing severe shortage of fertilizer, the Rural Cooperative Societies have been supplied with the Fertilizers, which has brought the smile on the face of the Mattugulla farmers. Highlighting on the problems of the shortage of fertilizer the media had published an article last week and now as per the demands of the farmers 10 ton of fertilizer has been supplied by the Agricultural department.
In Mattu of Kote Grama Panchayath, Kaipunjal, Pangala areas the farmers of hundreds of acres of land are now free from the fertilizer problems. The fertilizer has been supplied in sufficient quantities, and the cultivation activities of Gulla has been started from Thursday. As per the demands of the farmers it has been decided that, Sufala, Potash, Suzala, Urea and other fertilizers have been issued to the farmers through the Societies.
In the initial stage 10 ton Sufala fertilizer has been supplied to Pangala, Innanje Societies. The farmers have already purchased the fertilizers from the ration shop and have utilized to solve their problems. The agricultural department which has come forward to resolve the farmer’s issues, have instructed to the Societies to provide the fertilizer to the farmers.
