Katpadi: 447 Camp for giving-up alcohol concludes

Katpadi, 19 October 2011: No religion encourages to consume alcohol, but human submits himself to the various addictions which is regrettable, said Anegundi Sansthana Saraswthi Peeta Shri Kalahastendra Mahaswamiji. He was giving ashirvachana during the concluding ceremony of the 447th camp for giving up alcoholism at Katapadi S.V.S. Pre University college Auditorium on Sunday. The camp was jointly organized by Udupi Taluk Shri Kshethra Dharmastala Grambhivradi Yojane, Kaup Zone Madyavarjana Coordination Committee, Kaup Zone Janajagrati Vedike and other various organizations.

 

 
Speaking further Swamiji said that, in the process of giving up alcohol, only when the people of all the communities and associations join hands. Coordination committee President K. Sathyendra Pai presided over the program and in his presidential address he said that in the camp total 82 people voluntarily participated and are ready to live a life without alcohol, he said. Incharge of camp Prashanth T. Compeered the program. Committee Secretary Vidyalatha proposed vote of thanks.
