Mudarangadi: Lack of control, bad company trap in addiction

Mudarangadi, 13 October 2011: A person who does not have self-control can get into bad addictions with bad company. These bad habits first starts for fun, curiosity and entertainment will finally convert them into obsession and addiction. But, instead of losing their physical health and also losing the peace in their family, become a psychological patient and become a burden to the society, they can get rid of this obesity, said Belman St. Joseph School Teacher B. Pundalika Marathe.
He was speaking in the 446th camp for giving-up alcoholism at Mudarangadi Government Pre University College Auditorium on Wednesday. In his talk he briefed on the family life, Indian culture and inherent qualities. The camp was jointly organized by Shri Dharmastala Gramabhivradhi Yojane Udupi Taluk, Camp Coordination Committee, Janajagrathi Vedike Padubidri Zone and Pragathi Bandhu Swasahaya Associations.
In the separate gathering organized for women, Jenet Barboza spoke and briefed the details on Family – Women – Family harmony.
The program was presided over by organizing Committee President Virendra Hegde. Vice President Ravindra Prabhu, Navajeevana Samithi Member Dayananda Shetty, Camp Officer Baskar, Hejamadi Representative Annappa, Mudarangadi Representative Jayaram, Mudarangadi Grama Panchayath President Sunilraj Shetty and the Women Association Office Bearers were present on the occasion.
