Belman, 14 September 2011: Karkala – Padubidri road at Belman town has been completely destroyed with the movement of multiple wheel heavy trolly vehicles. It has been impossible for buses, cars, lorries and two wheelers to avoid the ponds while passing through. Pedestrians get the mud sprayed on them every time they pass through.

The local government Pre University College NSS unit students volunteered and temporarily close the ponds of the road. Belman Lions Club, JCI unit members accompanied them in this work. As a result the road from Belman town about one kilometer of Karkala – Padubidri road ponds have been temporarily closed.

General public appreciated this noble work by the students..! But when the Lokopayogi department will open its eyes….? It is the common man’s turn now to watch and wait…!
