Shirva: Shri Durgaparameshwari temple annual meeting held

Shirva, 11 September 2011: The annual meeting of the Bantakal Shri Durgaparameshwari temple which is the prime devotional center of Rajapura Saraswatha community was held on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Senior Teacher B. Pundalika Marathe. Management Committee member Devdas Patkar welcomed the guests and the gathering. Rashmi Nayak read the annual report.
Management committee President Shashidhara Wagle briefed the accounts of the annual expenses. Management Trustee Belpathre Vishwanatha Nayak briefed on the seva samithi. Bairanje Madhusoodana Nayak, K. Ramaraya Patkar, Gampadabailu Jayarama Prabhu, M. Balakrishna Nayak, Belpathre Sachidananda Nayak spoke about the development of the temple, social unity and the future plans.
In his presidential address B. Pundalika Marathe said that, when the community leaders work in coordination with the members of the management committee, the kshethra can get developed. The devotional centers along with the uniting of the community, should also be the religious center. When the community gets stronger at ward level the whole devotional center of the community gets stronger, he said.
Management committee members; Umesh Prabhu Palame, Raviraj Nayak, Geetha Wagle, K.V. Prabhu, Sundara Nayak, Raghurama Nayak, Sadananda Prabhu and Naveen Prabhu were present on the dias. Krishnamurthy Patkar offered the prayers. Shashidhara Wagle proposed vote of thanks.
