Shirva: Volleyball tournament conducted in St. Mary’s Pre University College

Shirva, 26 August 2011: Public Education department Udupi zone level High School boys Volleyball tournament was conducted in St. Mary’s Pre University College on Wednesday. Shirva Grama Panchayath President Vanita Shenoy inaugurated the tournament. The inaugural program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro. Udupi zone Education Officer Vasantha Shetty and Sports Officer Basavaraj gave away the prizes to the winners and congratulated them

 

 
Chief guests present on the dias were; Lawrence D’Souza, Rakesh Pinto, Mohammed Taufiq and Principal Felix Andrade. 33 teams participated from the zone in this tournament. In the finals Udupi Kannarpadi St. Mary English Medium High School won against Government High School Volakadu and got qualified to participate in the district level competitions.
