Katpadi: Bike rally, signing petition in support of Anna

Katpadi, 18 August 2011: Condemning the detention of Anna Hazare who is in fasting movement on the Lokpal Bill, the public voluntarily conducted bike rally in Katpadi town and collected signatures on the petition from more than 400 people. All people gathered expressed their complete support to Anna Hazare. People expressed their anger on the act of the central government and burned the pictures of Chidambaram, Kapil Sibbal, Ambika Soni and Digvijay Singh.

 

 
The people from Katapadi and Shakarapura went on a bike rally shouting slogans “Bharath Matha ki Jai” and went up to the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Udupi. Youth leaders of Katapadi; Yogish Sala, Prashanth Sanil, Ashidulla and Santhosh Shettigar had led the protest. Local political leaders Geethanjali Suvarna and Naveen Ameen also supported the protesters.
