Belman: Books distributed at Punarukere School

Belman, 08 June 2011: The center for the refinement of the moral values of children is home and mother is the first teacher for the lessons on the values of life. Well refined parents can create an ideal and patriotic citizen. Along with the development of the child the human values, exposure to the world, sharing, all these can be experienced in the schools. Teacher and Parents progressive thinking becomes the foundation to the future of child, said Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy member B. Pundalika Marathe.

 

He was speaking as a Chief Guest during the Parents Teachers meeting and the program for free distribution of books at Belman Punarukere Government Higher Primary School on Tuesday. With the influence of electronic media, scientific and competitive situations the bright students have lots of opportunities in the various fields of studies and for this the school will prepare them with the basic knowledge, he said.

 

 

School S.D.M.C. President Gumpadabailu Jayarama Prabhu presided over the function and said that, the government, School development committee and the old students are actively providing the basic requirements for the school and called upon the parents to frequently visit the school and maintain good relationship with teachers and take interest in the future of their children.

 

Shastavu Shri Brahmalingeshwara Bajana Mandali President Shankara Acharya, donor and entrepreneur Vishwanatha Patkar distributed books to all children. School Headmistress Vasanthibai welcomed the gathering. Teacher Devdas Patkar compeered the program. Parents and guardians of the students have participated in the program in large numbers. The books were sponsored by Shri Shastavu Bajana Mandali and Vishwanath Patkar.
