Udupi, 06 June 2011: Technical Conference of Vishweshwaryya Technological University level was organized recently at Reva Technical College Bangalore. In this the students of the Electronics and Communications section of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial College have won the Best Project award.

 

 

These students have made research on the savings of electrical energy in the auditorium, and in their research project work sensed the number of people in the auditorium, atmosphere temperature, amount of light in the auditorium and minutely controlled the light, fan, air conditioning system, thus improved its efficiency and saved electricity. This invention cost them only rupees 2 thousands and it saves 25% electrical energy, said the students in their publication.

 
The students who made this achievement are; Deepak Dayanand, Ganesh Prasad Pai K., Lakshmisha S., Rakesh K.K. and they were guided by their Head of the Department Dr. M. K. Parashuram.

 
 
Udyavara, 06 June 2011: On the occasion of the 150th anniversary celebration of Hindu School Udyavara and in memory of late Shrinivasa Murthy and late U. Krishna Kamath, their children have donated a vehicle to the school. Sudha G. Shenoy handed over the key of the vehicle to the School Management Committee.

 
At the same time, recently local senior U. Madhava Shenoy distributed the school study materials.

 

 

On this occasion Education Officer of Udupi Zone S. Vasantha Shetty, Retired School Headmaster Ramdas Bhat, Parents Teachers Association President Muralikrishna Bhat, School Old Student Association President Girish Kumar, Schoom Management Committee U. Nagesh Kumar, Ravindra Hegde, U.A. Aziz, U. Pratap Kumar, School Correspondent U. Govindaraya Shenoy, School Head Teacher Ganapathi Karanth and others were present.
