Internet giant Google served court notice after PM Modi’s name figures in ‘top 10 criminals’
Allahabad, 20 Jul 2016: Internet giant Google has been served with a court notice after PM Modi’s name has figured among top 10 criminals in the world.
As per the report, a local court here issued the notices to global search engine company Google, its CEO and India head and has also asked the concerned authorities to register a criminal complaint case against Google and its top executives.
Advocate Sushil Kumar Mishra in his complaint cited that Modi’s name figuring among the criminal lists by the global search giant was a matter of disrespect to the Indian Republic and despite having written a letter to Google asking them to remove Modi’s name, he received no response.
Mishra had then moved an application before the chief judicial magistrate, however, it was dismissed on November 3, 2015, on the grounds that it was a civil case. Gupta challenged CJM’s order by filing a revision application in court, which allowed the revision application and passed the order.
