Babri case: SC issues notice to Advani, 18 others

Print New Delhi, 04 March 2011: The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi along with Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and 18 others in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
The notice was issued on a CBI petition seeking prosecution of 21 BJP and saffron leaders on the charges of criminal conspiracy to demolish the Babri Masjid.
The CBI had challenged the dropping of criminal conspiracy charges against Advani and 20 others in the Babri Masjid demolition case in the Supreme Court. The investigating agency approached the Supreme Court against the order of a Rae Bareli court which resulted in criminal conspiracy charges being dropped against Advani and others.
The other leaders allegedly involved in the case are Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray. After the demolition of Babri Masjid in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on December 6, 1992 two FIRs were filed against those allegedly involved in it.
The first FIR was against unknown persons while the second FIR was filed against Advani and 20 others. The FIR against Advani and others stated that they entered into a criminal conspiracy to demolish Babri Masjid.

| These people created communal disturbance, they are the real traitor of India. These all accused are serious criminal. Supreme Court must take strong stand against all the culprit and put all these traitor behind the bar. They must get punishment to make India peaceful place for the peaceful people. So nobody again dare to involve in inciting the communal violence. India is secular country, where there is no place for communal enmity. | |
