Abu Dhabi: Helping hand to labourers for repatriation by Emirates India Fraternty Forum, UAE

Abu Dhabi, 10 October 2013: Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF) has extended its helping hand to 9 Indian workers to return back to  India.

 

NINE  newly recruited expatriate Indian Workers-arrived  in Abu Dhabi, UAE, claim to have been duped by their recruitment agent  Segal International Travel Agency Mangalore .

 

 These workers are  hailing from Dakshina Kannada  and Udupi districts of Karnataka State, arrived on September 17, 2013 who has been promised to get Salary 1,200 AED per month and to work as  Office Boy at the Al Ain Palace,  but to their surprise they were re forced to work as cleaners under  Royal Palace Cleaning Work Company with  a revised salary of 800 AED and 150 AED allowance and also  has refused to honor the agreed conditions. All these workers have paid Rs 60,000/-  each  to a Segal Travel Agency Mangalore for their  Visa  and other expenses.

 

 

EMIRATES INDIA FRATERNITY FORUM (EIFF), Abu Dhabi chapter along with EIFF office bearers  came to know the issue and raised to the occasion and contacted the  company through UAE Labor Department and Indian Embassy and convinced the company to accept the original agreement.

 

However the next day company demanded 800 AED as a fine from each workers . Their camp administration treated them very badly and forced them all out from the camp.   They then tried to contact their company however their grievances gone in vain. All the workers were forced to stay on the road  side without food and water.

 

Once again,  they have  contacted the EMIRATES INDIA FRATERNITY FORUM (EIFF), Abu Dhabi, as such EIFF members arranged food, and accommodation to all of them. By the help of EIFF, all workers  have registered a case against the Company in UAE Labor Department and Indian Embassy.   EIFF succeeded in getting back the  Passports of all the  workers  from the company & Visa Cancelation from Labor Department without fine .  EIFF  with the support of Other Organization and well-wisher in UAE arranged for their return Air Ticket  and repatriated the worker back home.

 

Emirates India Fraternity Forum has got special appreciation & thanks to its commendable services for their humanitarian help.

 

Nail Jagadisha mudeshwar, Abdul Raheem Majeshwar, Mohammed Basheer Uppinangadi, Munawar Fairoz Koppa, Abdul Javeed Koppa, Ragahava Poojary Honnala, Mohammed Ashraf Ullal, Mohammed Naushad ullal & Husen Zakariya Kannangar are the victims.
