Cattle trafficking averted; accused flee

Moodbidri, 02 Dec 2014: A alto car allegedly illegally transporting cattle in inhumane way was intercepted by the locals near Paper Mill in Moodbidri on Monday, December 1.

 

 

On Monday, an over speeding alto car (KA.01.AR 4726) with three men in it was found stuck by the side of the road after the driver lost control. When the locals rushed towards the vehicle the trio fled away leaving behind the car.

 

Upon checking the locals saw cattle being loaded in a cruel manner. The car and the cattle were then handed over to the Moodbidri police.

 

The police also seized weapons which were found in the car.

 

A case has been registered.
