Closing ceremony of St Aloysius cricket academy’s summer camp 2024

Mangaluru, 21 May 2024: The summer camp closing ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of our distinguished chief guest Rev. Fr Melwin Pinto, SJ, rector of St. Aloysius institution and guest of honour, Prof. Dr. UT Ifthikar Ali, well known physiotherapist and a senate as well as syndicate of Rajiv Gandhi University of health and science in Bangalore followed by the backbone members of Karvali cricket Clinic club, Mrs, Shanthi Mohan president of KCC, Mr Santosh Misquith general secretary of KCC and Mrs Sabitha Misquith join secretary of KCC.

 

On this occasion, Fr Melwin Pinto, in his address, motivated students by sharing his life story and hardships on the path of becoming a successful person. He also talked about his glorious achievements in his career. He said that “You can overcome any kind situation if you have strong will and dedication towards achieving something” he added while guiding students.

 

While, Prof. Dr. Ifthikar Ali, in his address, mentioned that everyone has talent and bringing the best out of a person is very important in order to make successful champions. He explained the immense importance of Sports in human life. He emphasized that one should constantly strive to improve one’s performance by setting a discipline, goal, practice, dedication and schedule.

 

The program was then taken further by distributing the summer camp certificates to the students who attended summer camp for 40 days and then followed by, winner and runner-up trophy distribution to the u19, U16, u14 and u12 team of the academy for their achievement in the year 2024.

 

 

We had a one of a parent from summer camp Dr. Sushma Kannan Nair, who wanted to share the experience of summer camp on behalf of her son, Virat K Nair. She mentioned on how she saw a drastic change in her son s performance. She also thanked the coach, Gleonna for teaching him so many things in just a period of 40 days. She also added how she got immense support from the Karavali cricket clinic faculty throughout. Also through her cheerful words, she motivated each and everyone including the parents on how better a player can be if they show their hard work and dedication in the game.

 

Then the program was followed by a welcome and felicitation to a well-known senior umpire, Mr. Roland Pinto.

 

Followed by, a vote of thanks which was given by one of our coach, Mr. Laxmi Das’s daughter Shelina who is also our student in academy.

 

All the coaches, parents and around 80 students were present for this event.

 

The whole event was successfully anchored by our junior coach, Ms Gleonna DSouza.
