Bantwal: Assault on girl - 3 youngsters arrested at Kalladka

Bantwal, 04 Jul 2014: The city sleuths arrested 3 youth for allegedly assaulting a girl and 2 youngsters whilst travelling in a bus at nearby Kalladka, here on Thursday July 3.
The arrested has been identified as Vishwanat, Vijeth and Shivaraj, who were arrested by the sleuths on the basis of complaint lodged by Kassim Rahim, a resident of Gowribidanoor in Chikballapur district.
Background of case
Kiran and his sister Ankita, both are studying in a college at Sheshadripuram in Bangalore have arrived along with their friend Kassim Rahim at Kalladka, here on Thursday. Ankita was the alumnus of Sri Rama High School; Kalladka had to collect her original certificates and was her way to the School along with her brother Kiran and his friend Kassim Rahim.
Meanwhile, a few youth arrived at the scene and made them alight from the bus at Kalladka, here alleging that 2 youngsters one being Muslim is travelling in a bus with a girl.
The tense situation prevailed for sometime, when the city cops arrived on the spot. The cops asked them to go in an auto rickshaw to report at the city police station. As they were on their way to police station, a group of 3 youth blocked the auto rickshaw; pulled Kassim Rahim out of the auto rickshaw and assaulted him.
