Kuwait: IMA English Unit hosts Welcome Ramadan Programme

Kuwait, 25 Jun 2014: Indian Muslim Association (IMA), English Unit organized a public event in English in cooperation with the ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on the subject Welcome Ramadan at Indian Community School auditorium, Salmiya, here on Friday 20.
Well-known international trainer of behavioral skills Dr Moosa M Al-Mazeedi spoke on the subject , Change yourself in this Ramadan.
Dr Moosa said that Change is possible as long as one is willing to change; He kept the audience engaged with his eloquent tone and by asking self-reflective questions. He asked audience to think of 5 of their bad habits and offered one of his books as prize for those who can come forward on stage and explain them. Moving ahead with his captivating speech he mentioned about some of the good habits which he encouraged to inculcate in daily life ie.. Kissing and Hugging young kids, Taking care of your parents, Donating part of your money one needy, working voluntarily in the cause of Allah, Reciting Quran on daily basis and reading books to increase your knowledge. He concluded his speech with the message that Ramadan is the best time for change as we will be having blessed month as motivation.
Dr Moosa was felicitated with a memento as a token of appreciation by Ahmed Ali, general secretary of IMA Kuwait.
Sharafuddin B S, management faculty and a popular speaker among Indian community in Kuwait explained the importance of living a happy family life with his topic, Bring smile into your Family Life.
Sharafuddin started his speech with the verse from Surah Nisa which talks about rights of spouse on each other. He added that we should spend quality time with family member and we should care for their rights. He gave example of Prophet’s life where he was a great husband to his wives. He emphasized that men should help women in their house work and should encourage and motivate them in their core competencies them whenever situation demands.
The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Yaseen and Parvez Haneef. Amer Azhar presented a brief report of activities of Social Service project Vision-2016.
Huge number of expatriates participated during the occasion with their families. Snacks were served to all the gathering.
