Mangalore: 555 Job-Aspirants get Placements in Udyog Mela, organized by SDM Business Mgmt College

Mangalore, 28 Jul 2013: At the joint aegis of state collegiate education and SDM Business Management College, Udyog Mela was held at College auditorium here on Sunday July 28 from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
The state higher education minister Deshpande, SDM Education Society chairman Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Mangalore University vice-chancellor Professor Shivashankaramurti, registrar Dr P S Yadipadittaya were the chief guests of the occasion.
Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the programme here on Sunday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lobo lauded Udyog Mela that is the boon to job-aspirants from the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
The minister Deshpande said that Mangalore is abode of Laxmi and Saraswati, the goddesses of wealth and knowledge. The knowledge thrives among the intellects in the undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, said minister Deshpande.
The joint director of collegiate education Dr Devanand Gaonkar welcomed the gathering. SDM Business Management College principal Professor Aruna Kamat proposed vote of thanks. The associate Professor Renukakshi and Udyog Mela co-ordinating officer Prashant Kumar compered the programme.
A total of 1,243 job-aspirants participated in Udyog Mela out of whom 555 secured placements.
