Mangalore: BJP & JDS Party Activists Join Congress

Mangalore, 14 Apr 2013: A few party activists of local BJP and JDS joined Congress during a function held at Kanthi church auditorium, located near Mangaladevi, here on Sunday April 14 morning.
A gathering of well wishers of Mangalore south constituency Congress candidate J R Lobo was held at St Sebastian’s parish centenary auditorium, here.
Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo said that since the last 2 decades, Mangalore south assembly constituency did not have an elected Congress MLA, owing to which most of the development works faced bottlenecks and a few are going on in snails phase, said Lobo.
Meanwhile, Lobo urged the voters to vote for him, in order to give fillip to different development works that are under way and to make the constituency an ideal in the state.
Earlier, Kerala Congress MP, AICC member and Karnataka legislative assembly elections overseer Thomas Idukki garlanded the portrait of Dr Ambedkar at District Congress Committee (DCC) election publicity office, Kadri, here.
The former Mayor Ashraf, M A Masood, district Congress women unit president Mamata Gatti, veteran Congressmen, Congress elected representatives of recently held civic polls, AICC member P V Mohan and others were present at the occasion.
J R Lobo accompanied by Congress veterans also paid obeisance to Mangaladevi temple deity.
