Abu Dhabi: ISC Organizes Iftar for members and community leaders

Abu Dhabi, 27 July 2012: Ramadan is the holy month for all Muslims all over the world and it is period of fast and charity. Muslims all over the world fast from dawn to dusk and offer prayers. It is also period to think of less previliged and poor and hence a lot of charity is done during this period.
Iftar is having a community meal after the break of fast at sunset. Muslims believe that Iftar feeding to some one who are less privilaged is a blessing and rewarding and it is a form of charity.
ISC too organized Iftar for all the members and community leaders on Wednesday evening where a large number of members were present and also all the dignitaries too were invited. Present at Iftar was Indian Ambassador to U.A.E. HE M.P. Lokesh, Abu Dhabi Community Chief, Sri-Lankan Ambassdor to U.A.E., Mr. Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO UAE Exchange Centre), Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi), Mr. Jashanmal (Enterpreuner), Ms. Chakaravarty, Cultural Wing (Indian Embassy) and many other dignitaries and past ISC president and committee members were present.
ISC Hon. President Mr. Thomas John welcomed the guests and members and thanked them for accepting his invitation and explained the signifance of the Iftar.
Sumptous dinner was arranged for all the VVIPs and members of ISC after the evening prayer.
