Abudhabi: ISC Toastmasters Club Contest held

Abu Dhabi, 13 Febraury 2012:  Toastmasters International a renowned worldwide leadership club constantly gives its members the opportunity to become world leaders under the slogan “ Where Leaders Are Made”  ISC Toastmasters too holds regular sessions and had organized recently the Annual Club Contest for International Speech and Evaluation Speech.   The slogan of the daywas: ‘Don’t follow your dreams, chase them “ 

 

The contest began with the opening remarks by President Sunil Kottarathil ACS, ALB followed by welcome address by Contest Chairperson TM Jayaram Rai founder President of ISC Toastmasters club. He briefly explained rules and by-laws of the International Speech Contest.

 

 

The participants for contest for International Speech were : TM Bharat Gupta, MTM Hema Praba Vincely, TM Manmohan Sreedhar, TM Ramesh N Tourani, & TM Sujith Moorkoth.  All of them presented their speeches very well on various topics such as on environment, innovations and inventions and leadership issues.  On conclusion of the International Speech, TM Jayaram Rai raised questions to all contestants on global issues from serious to humorous topics and were well acknowledge by audience.  The participant certificates were distributed by Contest Chairperson TM Jayaram Rai for all the speakers.

 

The second session involved Evaluation Speech contest:  Contest Chairperson TM Sathyanarayanan announced the names of the evaluation speakers.  The target topic of the day was “Surprise”  which was delivered superbly by ??? Which was full of humour and the audience had a good laugh and he lightened the serious environment with his rib tickling humour.  The participants who contested for the Evaluation Speech were: MTM Hema Praba Vincely, TM Manmohan Sreedhar, TM Noel Fernandes, TM Pradeep Kumar, TM Ramesh N. Tourani, TM Riju Eratta, TM Suresh Kumar.  On the conclusion of Evaluation speeches the participant certificates were distributed to all speakers. 

 

 

 ACS ALB VP Pandari announced all Role Players, Chief Judge and contest judges and invited the them to the dais and were felicitated along with TM Sunil Kottarathil. 

 

Winners of the International speech were declared namely: TM Sujith Moorkoth (1st) TM Manmohan Sreedhar(2nd and TM Ramesh N Tourani (3rd), Evaluation Speech Winners: TM Manmohan Sreedhar(1st),   TM Noel Fernandes (2nd) and TM Ramesh N Tourani (3rd).  The winners were distributed with awards by Area Governor Santhos Shetty & TM Jayaram.  Also felicitated were President Sunil Kottarathil , TM Sunny and all off bearers of ISC Toastmasters Club.
