Kundapur: Kala Spandana Sangha Inaugurated at Maravante

Kundapur, 27 Jan 2014: The veteran Yakshagana Bhagavat Devaraj Das inaugurated Kala Spandana Sangha at Maravante, near here on Saturday January 25.

 
Devaraj in his inaugural address urged the people the need to set up organizations to sustain the age-old traditions and religious practices.

 
Alvas Nudi Siri Kundapur taluk unit secretary Subramanya Shetty was the chief guest.

 
Speaking on the occasion, Shetty said that the facebook and internet addiction by the youth community are ruining their lives; while the TV serials are causing marital disharmony by inciting suspicions among the couples, said Shetty.  He also urged the people to foster daily worship at homes, folklore, Yakshagana and native culture.

 

 

 
The veterinary Dr Dr Nagaraj was felicitated on the same occasion.

 
Anjaneya Gas Agency proprietor Praveen Kumar T and Kundapur’s TV serial actor Satish Madyasta were present at the dais.

 
Shankar Maravante welcomed the gathering.  Nagesh Shet proposed vote of thanks.  Sridar compered the programme.

 
The annual festivities was held at Durgayaksheshwari temple, Maravante was held on Saturday night, at the leadership of temple managing trustee Jagdish.

 
Rama Bhajan group presented cultural shows on the same occasion.
