M’lore: CPI (M) & Dalit Rights Committee Stage Protest seeking Justice in Evil Practices

Mangalore, 9 Jul 2013: At the joint aegis of CPI (M) city Committee and Dalit Rights Committee, staged protest in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, here on Tuesday July 9, urging the state administration to ban the evil practice of rolling-over-left-food-on-plantain-leaves and separate dining facilities for upper castes and lowest; to allocate funds in budget based on Dalit population; to introduce reservation to Dalit in private sector; to withdraw false cases registered on protesters at Udupi. 

 

The protest was staged based on statewide protest called by CPI (M) and Dalit welfare organizations. 

CPI (M) leaders Sunil Kumar Bajal and Vasant Achary, Dalit leaders and activists were present at the occasion.
