M’belle: Monthi Festh observed in St. John the Baptist I Ward

Moodubelle, 17 Sep 2012: Monthi Festh was observed in St. John the Baptist I Ward on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 12.15 pm. At the residence of Alphonse Jacinta D’Souza.  Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes ans Sr. Irene, Superior of the Loreto Convent along with another sister participated in the programme.

 

Ms. Teresa Lobo, Gurkarn of the ward welcomed the guests and the ward members. Prayer service was conducted by Mrs. Reena D’Souza, Mrs. Sylvia D’Souza and Miss Emilda Martis. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes explained the passage from the scriptures. Thereafter, adults as well as children showered flowers on the statue of Mother Mary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those ward members who celebrate their birthdays in the month of September were felicitated. Sweets and cold drink was served to the people present. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes gave his message on the occasion. Thereafter few games were organized by Mrs. Reena D’Souza and prizes were distributed by Sr. Irene. The programme was compeered by Mrs. Monika D’Souza.

 

All the members of the ward had vegetarian meal together. The different vegetable dishes were brought by the members prepared at their respective homes.
