Chennai, 20 February 2011: Jimmy Kamande’s decision to bat first against New Zealand backfired miserably as the Black Caps - led by a four-wicket haul from Hamish Bennett bowled out the Kenyans inside 24 overs in a World Cup group A match at Chennai on Sunday.
Kenya captain Jimmy Kamande won the toss and elected to bat in a World Cup Grroup A match against New Zealand at Chennai on Sunday. Hamish Bennett and Tim Southee will lead the pace attack for the Black Caps as Kyle Mills misses out.
The teammates head into the tournament without the usual look of a team renowned for punching above their weight, especially in major tournaments. The team has been whitewashed by Bangladesh and India before they lost a home series against Pakistan.
