Kuwait: KCWA celebrates First Holy Communion of 7 Children

Kuwait, 13 May 2014: KCWA held first Holy Communion party of its member’s children for the successive eighth year at ICSK auditorium, Khaitan, here on Friday May 9.
Seven of member’s children participated in the community celebration along with KCWA in the company of over 400 guests. The participating children were:
1. Aaron Xavier Gonsalves, son of John Kiran Gonsalves and Joyline M A Gonsalves
2. Seldon Leon Martis, son of Stanislaus Martis and Leena Martis
3. Renial D’Souza, son of Oswald Rony D’Souza and Anitha Sandra D’Souza
4. Cassandra Ruth Sequeira, daughter of Cliffy Edward Sequeira and Rekha Gracy Salis
5. Dylan Sequeira, son of Peter Simon Sequeira and Reshma Jean Lewis
6. Andrea Megan Castelino, daughter of Alphonsus Castelino and Meera Castelino
7. Jaden Floyd Pereira, son of John Pereira and Felcy Benedicta Pereira
Deepak Andrade welcomed the gathering; the first holy communicants came in a procession with candles and cut the cake together after the prayer.
KCWA president Anil Fernandes gave brief on KCWA’s motto and achievements. Fr Romeo congratulated and blessed all the first holy communicants. On behalf of the parents, Joyline Gonsalves thanked KCWA for organizing such a memorable celebration. Fr Blany Pinto, parish priest of St Theresa Church, Salmiya, here presented mementos to the children on behalf of KCWA.
Various games for children and adults were organized by Orson D’Souza and spot prizes were distributed to the winners. All the guests enjoyed the scintillating music of popular DJ Live Rockers as they danced their hearts out. Snacks, refreshments and delicious dinner were served to all by Oriental Restaurant. The well-organized get-together concluded with a baila dance session and finally with laudate.
Deepak Andrade compered the event and Rinna D’Souza trained the communicants with prayer. Joyston D’Souza and Alger Mathias captured the event by their photographic skills while Alban D’Souza did the videograhpy. Backdrop was arranged by Joyston D’Souza and Reema D’Souza. Reema D’Souza and Valerian Santhumayor coordinated the whole event with the support of KCWA Committee members.
