Mega Preparations Underway for Vasantotsav – 2013

Dubai,30 Jan 2013: The preliminary meeting to stage Vasantotsav – 2013, autumn fest, at the leadership of Dubai Karnataka Sangh in J S S private School, Al-Safa, here on Friday February 8 at 3.30pm was held at Willy’s Restaurant auditorium, Karama, here on Sunday January 27.
Addressing the gathering entrepreneur C R Shetty said that the arts troupes from back home in Karnataka are staging Konkani and Tulu plays. It’s significant that the talented artistes of Karnataka origin who are working in UAE are for the first time staging Kannada plays in Dubai, said C R Shetty. He also urged all Kannadiga expatriates to patronize Vasantotsav – 2013, Karnataka’s glorious cultural extravaganza.
Dubai Karnataka Sangh veteran leader Tantri urged all Kannadiga expatriates to attend the programme in large numbers.
Satish Hegde, director of Kannada play – Hai Bye Dubai that will be staged during Vasantotsav – 2013 by the amateur artistes of Inchara Kala Tanda, Dubai, besides Maim Show, with a social message, urged Kannadiga expatriates to encourage the amateur artistes who are practicing daily since a few months.
Yatish Hegde and veterans urged all to attend Alvas Virasas and Nudisiri, that will be staged at Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The organizers of Vasantotsav – 2013 have provided a stage for Kannadiga expatriates in order display their unique art works, crafts and any handicraft of wood. The top display item will be awarded with prizes.
Ideal Married Couple – 2013 competitions will be held at the occasion, with a chance to couples to win prizes.
Jayant Shetty, Chandrashekar Sankole, Aruna Mutugadur and others offered suggestions for the success of Vasantotsav – 2013.
Dubai Karnataka Sangh office bearers urged all to make the success of Vasantotsav – 2013, since the entry is free, dance shows of western, regional and Hindi hit movies will be the key attraction for dance enthusiasts.
