Udupi: Cops nab Burglars within 15-days of Committing Burglary at Belle Village

Udupi, 21 Jan 2013: The police arrested on Sunday January 20. a group of seven burglars and recovered all the jeweled looted by them from the house of Damodar Samaga, a resident of Padubelle, that comes under the limits of Shirva police station, within 15 days of committing the crime on January 3.
Karkal DySP Jayant Shetty, Kaup circle inspector Shivanand S Valikar, Shirva sub-inspector and DCIB police were involved in nabbing the seven burglars.
The arrested has been identified as thirty-two-years-old Abdul Hameed, son of the late Hussein Isubu, thirty-one-years-old Shabbir Ahmed, thirty-five-years-old Mohammed Usman, son of Abbas, twenty-three-years-old Ummer Farouq, son of Mohideen Saheb, twenty-six-years-old Satish Poojary, son of Raju Poojary, twenty-five-years-old Sudhir Kumar, son of Sadhoo Poojary and thirty-two-years-old Samad Halekatte, son of Elias.
Police sources informed that, the clues given by twelve-years-old Sudesh, son of Damodar Samaga, the police maintained a close watch on a few workmen who had come to Samaga’s house for painting and masonry work. The burglars were nabbed in the neighbourhood of Katpady while suspiciously wandering in the night.
The police recovered 4 moneky-caps, two knives, torch, jewellery including gold coin, cash money of Rs 5,000, altogether worth Rs 1,69,569. The police also seized 3 motor cycles. Besides, the police also recovered the stolen jewellery from other thefts in Karkal and Kaup.
