Shirva Health Centre observes Malaria Awareness

Shirva, 01 July 2012: Udupi Jilla Panchayath Member Ida Gibba D’Souza inaugurated the ‘Maleria awareness month observation’ on Tuesday in Shirva Community Health Centre which was jointly organized along with Shirva Rotary. The program was presided over by Shirva Panchayath President Vanita Kamalaksha Shenoy. Chief guests present on the occasion were Rotary District Deputy Governor K. R. Patkar, Shirva Rotary President Ronald Sequeira and Anganavadi Incharge Shantha.
Speaking on the occasion Health Centre Medical Officer Dr. Vasudeva Upadyaya briefed on the symptoms of malaria decease, prevention, control of mosquitos and the life style to be adopted. He also explained on the cooperation required from the public with the health department to prevent malaria.
Health Assistant Nagayya Hiremutt in his introductory note briefed on the objectives of this program. Dentist Dr. Santhosh Kumar Bailoor welcomed the guests and the gathering. Anganavadi teacher Jayanthi conducted prayers. Junior Health Assistant Guruprasad proposed vote of thanks.
