Mangaluru: Ekka Saka, Tulu movie premiered in 11 theaters simultaneously in DK & Udupi

Mangaluru, 02 May 2015: Ekka Saka, Tulu movie, produced by Leeds Group of Companies chairman Kishore D Shetty, under the banner Lakumi Cine Creations, directed by K Suraj was premiered at Jyothi talkies, here on Friday May 1 morning.
Hampi University retired chancellor and folk art scholar Dr B A Vivek Rai released the movie on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rai said that maximum numbers of movies are being produced in the recent 2 to 3 years in the history of Tulu filmdom. It’s a healthy development that gives fillip to Tulu and its distinct culture, said Dr Rai.
It was simultaneously released at Jyothi talkies, Big Cinema, PVR and Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Kalpana talkies in Udupi, Inox talkies in Manipal, Amarashree talkies in Moodbidri, Radhika talkies in Karkal, Nakshatra talkies in B C Road, Aruna talkies in Puttur and Bharat talkies in Beltangady.
The litterateur Sitaram Rai, movie producer Sanjeev Dandakeri, DK district Tulu Sahitya Academy former president Umanat Kotian, DK district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, corporator Ashok D K, DK district working journalists Association presidnet Jagannat Shetty Bala, Chalipolilu – Tulu movie producer Prakash Pandeshwar, philanthropist Mohan Rai Karnoor, Kavita Shastry and others were the guests present.
