Mangalore: Health Camp organised for priests and religious sisters at Fr. Muller Medical College

Mangalore, 13 Oct 2012: The Nursing Service Department and Sisters of Charity at Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital, organised a Seminar on “Life Style Disease – Prevention of Care” and Helath Camp, for priests and religious sisters on 12 October, 2012 in the Decennial Memorial Hall from 7.30am – 4.00pm.

 
Dr (Sr) Matilda Monteiro, Provincial Superior of Sisters of Charity, Mangalore Province was the Chief Guest and Bishop of Mangalore Most Rev.Aloysius Paul D’Souza was the president of the programme. Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues,Director of the Institution delivered the key note address, where he emphasized the importance of this kind programmes and yearly health check up for maintaining good health and reducing the cost of our expences for the drugs.

 

 
Chief Guest called upon to change our life styles and prevent the diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cancer. Bishop was happy to be the part of the programme and said religious take care of the whole world except themselves so these kind awareness programmes can help the religious to be healthy. He thanked Sr Aileen Mathias, Chief Nursing Officer of the Hospital and Organising secretary for taking initiative to organise this programme and Sr Lissy Sebastian, Superior of the St Vincent Convent for their dedicated services in the hospital. He also thanked provincial Superior for the dedicated services for the past 100 years in the hospital.
