Moodubelle, 25 Nov 2012: November 24, 2012 proved to be a lucky day for the people of Moodubelle and Kattingeri villages as guddali-pooje was performed on four roads which have been waiting for concretization or improvement. These different projects have been made possible due to the recommendation of the Kaup MLA, Lalaji R. Mendon who had acquired funds from chief minister’s special funds while Sadananda Gowda was the chief minister.
These roads include: Kattingeri-Kumerottu road for concretization at the cost of Rs. 10 lakhs; re-asphalting of Kattingeri Temple Road at the cost of Rs. 10 lakhs; asphalting of Edmeru Doddamane Road at the cost of Rs. 5 lakhs; and Belle Golidali Road concretization at the cost of Rs.10 lakhs.

At all the four roads, the guddali-pooje was carried on by Lalaji R. Mendon. Other dignitaries who were present included Mrs. Jacinta Aranha, President of Belle Grama Panchayat, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza, member of the Udupi Zilla Panchyat, Devdas Hebbar, former President of the Udupi Taluk Panchayat and local panchayat members and villagers.
Well Said well wisher. No cement, no sand, not even a piece of any raw material reqd to construct the roads was seen at these sites. This is merely a election gimmick by the ruling party concerned and just look at the people in the photographs, they are all the same except for few heads. On enquiring at one site, they told by the 30th of December the road would be constructed. It is so amazing the way these guys fool the people as the Legislative elections are just round the corner, the drama is begun... a lot to go for another 30 days as there after as per the directives of election commission they cannot put up such shows to fool the common people. Long live democracy n milking the innocent people....
