New Delhi, 31 Aug, 2013 (TOI): Supporters of Asaram Bapu on Saturday morning attacked two television journalists in Jodhpur for reporting on the self-styled godman.

According to Times Now, six people have been detained from Asaram’s ashram for attack on these journalists.

Both journalists belong to the IBN7 network, according to Times Now reports.

Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu may face arrest after he shied away from presenting himself before the Jodhpur police on Friday for questioning in a sexual assault case.

Asaram Bapu is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in an ashram in Jodhpur.

The godman played a deft hide-and-seek game throughout Friday, prompting the Rajasthan police to act tough. At least two police teams from Jodhpur were despatched to Madhya Pradeshlate on Friday to arrest the godman, police said.
