Udupi: Feast of St. Antony Celebrated with devotion & fervour

Udupi, 13 Jun 2015: The titular feast of St. Antony, known as the ‘Miracle Saint’ was celebrated with great devotion and fervour by the parishioners of Kuntlanagar and devotees from neighbouring parishes on Saturday, 13 June 2015.

 

Foillowing the distribution of ‘candles of honour’ to the donors and ‘mud-dhoms’ at 10 am, the festal mass was concelebrated  by 15 priests. Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, parish priest of Moodubelle was the chief celebrant. Rev. Fr. Fred Mascarenhas, Dean of Udupi Varado was one of the concelebrants.

 

 

The homily was preached by Rev. Fr. Prakash  who highlighted the virtues of St. Antony by narrating the life of St. Antony.

 

Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, parish priest of Kuntalnagar and PRO of Udupi Diocese thanked the priests and people and extended the greetings of the feast to all parishioners.
