Abu Dhabi: Tulu Film “Telikeda Bolli“ create laughter riot in Eldorado Cinema

Abu Dhabi, 06 Jul 2013: Rarely any Tulu movies from Mangalore are shown in the gulf and however the Mangalorean Tulu, Kannada, konkani and Byari community get the chance to view a few Tulu movies every year that too just one or maximum of two shows.

 

However, this year’s Tulu film “ Telikeda Bolli “ created a laughter riot to a house full audience at the Eldorado Cinema on Friday, July 5, 2013.  One of the most entertaining tulu film acted by all well known Tulu actors:  Devdas kapikad, Navid D’ Padil, , Aravid Bollar, Bojraj Vamanjur, Gopinath, Arjun Kapidak (Hero), Ashritha Shetty (Heroin), Written by Devdas Kapikad and directed by P.H. Vishwanath had the audience jumping from their seats in uncontrollable laughter.  The movie was produced by Sudhir Kamath and Sharmila D. Kamath and distributed in gulf countries by Karnoor Mohan Rai.

 

This movie was organized in U.A.E. by Tulu Koota Dubai and Cha Parka Thanda of U.A.E.

 

A few well known dignitaries of U.A.E. namely Sudhir Kumar Shetty (COO, UAE Exchange Centre), Mr. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Abu Dhabi Kannada Sangha), Mr. Shekar Shetty (MD Arab Udupi Group), Mr. Jayaram Rai (Group Finance Manager, Bin Fardan Group) were present.

 

 

Mr. Sarvotham Shetty welcomed the audience and his welcome address and inaugural function can be viewed through the video published along with this report.  The inauguration of the movie took place prior to telecasting the movie as it is first time telecasted directly and not shown via film reels.  The traditional lamp was light by Mr. Shekar Shetty and family, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Shetty and family, Mr. Sarvotham Shetty and Fly, Mr. Jayaram Rai and Mr. Pradeep Kirodian- (organizer of Abu Dhadi show on behalf of U.A.E. Tulukoota and Cha Parka Thanda  U.A.E.).

 

The movie is very simple story revolves around a family and along with their neighbor poor family.  The main female character Malli daughter of poor family (played by Ashritha Shetty) awaits arrival of Munna Anna, son of their rich neighbor whom they work (played by Arjun Kapikad son of Devdas Kapikad) who is returning from London and eventually falls in love with him.  There was a brief set back as his elder brother (Karriyana) was in secret love with her.   However, the movie revolves mostly with the comedy characters  such as Devdas Kapikad, Navid D Padil, Aravid Bollar and delivery of dialogues, dance, choreography, fight scenes are supper and not to be missed.

The movie was shown to the house full audience in Abu Dhabi and those who missed out are really very unfortunate.
