Hassan, 28 Apr 2013: The High Court chief justice D H Waghela inaugurated the convention of all Karnataka women lawyers that was jointly organized by district women lawyers’ Forum and Karnataka women lawyers’ Federation at Hassanamba Kala Bhavan here on Saturday April 27.
Speaking on the occasion, Waghela expressed his concern over not having a minimum of 30 percent of lawyers in our vast country. He also advised to provide basic amenities to lawyers arriving to cities and towns from remote villages and far-flung regions. He also expressed happiness over women lawyers for their grit and courage to serve as lawyers.
The High Court judges K L Manjunat, N K Patil, H Billappa, B V Nagaratna, Somashekar, K Sheela Anish, Muniappa, Indrani Patni, H V Timme Gowda, Bar Association president M B Vishwanat, N V Pushpa, Saraswati, Hemalata Mahishi and others were present at the occasion.
The lawyer Banoo Mustaq welcomed the gathering.
