Moodubelle: Road construction activity in various regions inaugurated

Moodubelle, 13 Mar 2013: Under the programme of ‘Our Roads Our Village’ road construction activity was inaugurated on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 by the MLA of Kaup, Lalaji R. Mendon. These roads are to be constructed as well as renovated from the MLA grants obtained by Lalaji R. Mendon.

The various roads to be constructed and renovated include: Marne-Karvalu-Alevoor Raod at the cost of 223 lakhs; from Marne Circle to Hirebettu(129) lakhs; Kojapadi Road(15 lakhs) Marne-Patla Road by the side of Marne Mahalingeshwara temple (5 lkhs); from Marne School up to the residence of Baby Jatthanna and from Patla to Tenku House (35 lakhs).  For Marne School stage (1 lkh). Thus, amounting to 408 lakhs for the development of Marne village.

 

Besides Lalaji R. Mendon, the following persons were present for the ‘Guddhali Pooje’: Upendra Nayak-President of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza-Zilla Panchayat member,  Gurudas Bhandary-Udupi Taluk Panchayat member,  Mrs. Nalini Chennappa-President of Manipura Grama Panchayat, Mrs. Maimuna B.-Vice President of Manipur aGrama Panchayat, Manipura Grama Panchayat members-Karunakara Karkera, Mrs. Winnie D’Souza, Mrs. Baby Jathanna, Raghava Sherigara, Vittal Naik and Mrs. Mangala. Devdas Hebbar-former Udupi Taluk Panchayat President, Rajendra Shetty-President of Belle Grama Panchayat, Gerald Fernandes, members of Belle Grama Panchayat, Pravin-PDO of Manipura, Dayananda Nayak, administrator of Marne Higher Primary School and Shrinidhi Bhat, the priest.

 

On the same day, Lalaji R. Mendon also laid foundation stone for the vented dam cum bridge at Edmeru. The vented dam would be constructed  at the cost of 50 lakhs of rupees under the programme of Minor Irrigation project of Udupi District and from the grants of MLA’s fund belonging to Lalaji R. Mendon.
