63rd General Body Meeting of ICYM of Mangalore Diocese

Mangalore, 06 July 2010: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of the Mangalore Diocese organized 63rd general body meeting and 13th CUP award function at Rosario Church Hall, Mangalore. Fr Stany, Parish Priest of the Rosario Church inaugurated the function.

Election was conducted for the Executive committee for the year 2010-11. Mr Vincent Mandanthyar was elected as a the President and Mr Lawrence from Kasargod was elected as the Secretary of ICYM, Mangalore Diocese.

In recognition of their service to the society, in the parish and Mangalore Diocese, ten ICYM parish units were felicitated during this occasion.

The CUP awards were bagged by the following parish units of the ICYM:1st prize-Mandanthyar Parish, 2nd prize-Cordel Parish, 3rd prize-Moodbiri Parish, 4th prize-Pakshikere Parish, 5th prize-Kinnigoli Parish , 6th prize-Kumbla Parish, 7th prize- Panir Parish

Best in Youth activity- Gurpur.Parish
Best in parish level activity- Kelarai Parish

Mr. Melwyn D’Cunh, Chairman of MCC Bank was the chief guest for the function. State President of ICYM- Mr Robin, Director-Fr Anil D’Souza, Lady Animator-Sr Mishel, Diocesan President-Leo Arwa, Secretary-Reena and Executive Committee Members were present on the dais. Prashanth Arwa compered the programme.
