M’belle: Ward Feast of St. John the Baptist Ward I celebrated

Moodubelle, 05 Jul 2012: The Ward Feast of St. John the Baptist Ward was celebrated on Sunday, July 1, 2012. at 12.15 pm at the residence of Anil Reena D’Souza, Kappandakariya. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes presided over the programme. The guest of honour were Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza, member of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat, A.G. D’Souza, member of the Belle Grama Panchayat abd Mrs. Gladys Rebello, Gurkarn of St. John the Baptist II Ward.

 

The programme started with recitation of prayer song  followed by welcome address by Mrs. Sylviya D’Souza. Delson D’Souza and Elroy D’Souza entertained the gathering with a funny skit.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes in his message wished the ward members a happy feast of St. John the Baptist and said that such feasts bring the members and families together and give an opportunity to the children and youth to manifest their talents.

 

Mrs. Reena D’Souza organised few games for children and adults. Those who had helped in organizing the ward feast were felicitated by offering them flowers. Winners in games were given prizes by Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes. Prizes were sponsored by Anil Alva and Frederick Fernandes.

 

The ward Gurkarn, Teresa Lobo compeered the programme and Mrs. Reena D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.  The celebration ended with lunch.
