Ootre Uzwadlem Drama brings showers of laughter to Abu Dhabi audience

Abu Dhabi, 29 April 2012: Sangon Mugdhana Kalakars, Dubai put up a wonderful hilarious drama Ootre Uzwadlem in association with USWAS Shirva a premier association of U.A.E at the Main Auditorium of India Social and Cultural center.  This is the part of USWAS Shirva’s Decennial Celebration.

 

The event began at 3.00pm by melodious singing by Pearls of Mangalore troupe of Abu Dhabi who rendered super hit Konkani numbers such as “Poilea Pavsao Suwadi (by Dony Pinto) from their latest album Amchem Sopann, followed by Ye Moga Ye Gopant mojea (by Rony Lobo and Ida), Channiwali (by Roald D’Souza and Ida Fernandes), Angelina  one of the best super hit song to a thunderous applause from the audience.  This was followed by USWAS Team members/singers Joe Almeida sang “ Avoi Bapaicho Tyag” and  Yo Moga Ye a fast number by Prashant Sequeira awakned the audience and was thoroughly enjoyed by all .  The little kids of USWAS Shirva presented two lovely dances by Cleon D’Sa and Mickole D’Souza  and  Mash Menezes and Clarissa Fernandes for two lovely Konkani numbers Yo Moga yo and Dhorya Kushin respectively.

 

 

 Manoj menezes welcomed all the guests and audience prior to the drama.  He then invited all the guests and sponsors to the stage and a brief felicitation ceremony was held for the chief guest Fr. Valerian Fernandes (Abu Dhabi Parish) and all the sponsors, media personalities and singers.   In his brief presidential address Manoj highlighted the various achievements of USWAS Shirva and told that they have been supporting the community in whatever way they can in terms of educational needs, housing, medical treatments of patients in Shirva and other charity works.

 

The Writer/Director and actor Pradeep Barboza Paladka was honoured with Floral Bouquet, Fruits, a traditional shawl and a memento.  He was recognized for his dedication to Konkani language and drama.

 

The entire drama was presented fault less and it was very funny and entertaining and the audience just loved it and had a laugh riot.  All the actors did justice to their roles and played their characters superbly.  Though the drama was a hilarious but had a strong family theme and life lessons. 

 

The music was presented by Cyril Baptist and sound system was provided by Broadway which is one of the reason for the successful of the drama.   Sangon Mugdana team really put up a most successful drama yet again and it felt the audience want more from them in future.
